Hop on over to get the full tutorial on how to make this beautiful Button Monogram! While out at garage/yard sales and flea markets, keep an eye out for inexpensive frames and buttons! Also, a free way to find buttons is through your local Freecycle. If all else fails, there are sellers on ebay that sell bags of buttons by the pound.
I look forward to making these for my two nieces!
Every Monday through the week of Christmas will be a new homemade gift idea/project. Be sure to check them out! Happy Crafting!

I am determined to do Christmas different this year, so I love this idea and will most definitely be following this series.

Julianne,
ReplyDeleteI am also determined to do Christmas different this year. I am tired of giving gift cards and unoriginal gift ideas. This year is going to be homemade and craft gifts from the series and some on our own (homemade beer & wine).
Thank you for stopping by the blog!
If I know one of those nieces any chance we can get another one too, I will help with button collection:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing your link on my blog! I love this! Will be popping in every Monday!

Well I have my frames (free off freecycle) and I have ordered my buttons off Amazon (for free thanks to swagbucks). I hope to start making at least one of these within the week for the youngest niece.
ReplyDeleteI completed the letter...added a few butterfly embellishments and painted the frame with one coat of paint. Will do another coat tomorrow and then Sunday assemble it, take pictures and hopefully post the pictures on my blog on Monday. Thanks again for sharing this Meg!
ReplyDeleteThe project is complete and pictures are up
